Perhaps A Bit Presumptive?

Steven McKinlay, and Kristi McKinlay, owners of GodGod’s Sports Company, have been charged with a dozen felonies, including using untrue statements in the purchase or sale of a security, grand theft and the use of a device in a scheme to defraud, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

Authorities say they bilked investors, including people they knew through church, out of more than $3 million dollars. Some of the funds were used as part of a Ponzi scheme, with funds from new investors used to pay back some older investors.

If convicted, the couple faces up to 23 years and eight months in state prison. There they might be able to share beliefs and values with their new congregation.
